Nest Learning Thermostat Review: Smart Energy Savings That Program Themselves

We’ve been testing the Google Nest Learning Thermostat (3rd Gen) for the past month, and we’re genuinely impressed by its intelligent features. This sleek stainless steel device quickly learned our preferred temperatures and created a personalized schedule without any programming on our part. We particularly appreciated how the Farsight feature lights up to show the temperature when we enter the room, and the easy control via the Alexa compatibility.

The energy-saving features are where this device truly shines. The leaf icon appears when we select energy-efficient temperatures, and the monthly energy reports help us track our usage. We’ve already noticed a reduction in our utility bills since installation.

While the price point is higher than standard thermostats, the potential energy savings and convenience features make the Nest a worthwhile investment for most homes.
